Latvian Lutheran Church of Northern California

We are a two-point parish and minister and gather for worship in the Bay area: we meet in San Francisco and Sacramento.

Our congregation was founded in 1951 by Latvian immigrants who were forced to live in exile. Our community is based in God’ s Word and Sacrament and we seek to serve God as we minister to the greater Latvian community.

  • Our purpose is to preach and teach God’ s Word and Sacrament.
  • Ministerial outreach to the greater Latvian Community of Northern California.
  • Support of sister churches in Latvia, spiritually and financially.
  • Provide coordination to American organizations interested in contacting and supporting individuals, churches and other humanitarian organizations in great need within Latvia.
